Anika noni rose is an American actress and performer. She is most famous for her role as Tiana, the Princess and"the Frog's African-American Princess. She was recognized as a Disney Legend. Rose is best known for her part as Lorrell, Robinson in Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose (born September 6 1972) is an American performer and actress. Best known as the voice of Tiana In The Princess and the Frog, the very first African American Disney princess. In 2011, she was recognized as a Disney Legend. The most famous of her roles is the character of Lorrell Robinson in the Academy Award-winning movie Dreamgirls (2006), and her performance as LaVerne the Jukebox Ganner from the Starz TV series Power. She is also known for her performances in theatre particularly in her leading roles as Emmie Thibodeaux and as Emmie in the Broadway show Caroline or Change (2004) for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Musical. Also, she starred as Beneatha Younger, who played The Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) for which she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play.
